How they Grow!

I had to attach these pictures of Ethan and his best bud Jacob. How they grow is so fitting. Our little, sweet babies are turning into little boys. I was looking through pictures of the last two year, and this hit me. They are still the cutest and lovable little people on the earth!

Ethan's Birthday

I know I am a little late on the updates...but here goes. We celebrated Ethan's second birthday March 2nd with an Elmo Party. Ethan was so excited to see all his friends and cousins. Although the day was very cold, I think he had a great time. The highlight of the party was "Dorothy" Elmo's pet gold fish.

I think that Ethan's birthday is more special to Jeremy and I than Ethan. Although Ethan is too young to truely understand about his adoption, Jeremy and I are reminded on his birthday. Two years seems like yesterday when we were busy putting together a nursey in one week. I hope that I will always remember the events on the day Ethan was born. There have been times when I wish I could watch that day on the TV. It was such a special feeling. Looking back I have to think how I made it through the day and kept everything so quite. I also have to remember my dear friend Mary, who is not a crier at all, I made her cry when I called her to tell her that I was getting a baby too!

A very sick household

Well, today was my first day back to school since last Monday. I was scheduled to take Tuesday and Wed off so Jeremy could have sinus work done. Monday morning, Ethan's sitter calls to tell me that he is running a high fever. I leave school, take him to the doctor...RSV, and two ear infections! So, no day care for the rest of the week. We had great fun doing breathing treatments, taking lots of medication, having chest x-rays, and being on 'lock-down'. Lucky, Jeremy's mom was able to help a few days. Ethan's breathing treatments were the best. We called them "breathing smoke". Thank goodness he is not old enough to understand 'smoke'. Jeremy was down all of Tuesday and Wednesday with his sinus. Hopefully now he will be feeling alot better! Ethan has seems to be much better. He had a great day playing with friends at day care.

Christmas

Ethan had a great Christmas! Almost everything Santa sent was Thomas the Train. You can see that he even has a Thomas that he can ride. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Jennifer

First Hair Cut and Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Here are a few pictures of our little man getting his first hair cut and a visit to the Pumpkin Patch. He was pretty good during the hair cut experience. It was the end of the day and we were the only people in the hair salon. Luckly, Jessice, the stylist, is quick! He really did not have that much to cut off. She trimmed the back, sides, and the front.

The pumkin patch has become a tradition. He had such a great time! He was able to see the animals, run around, and attempt to pick up those huge pumpkins.

Family Update

Well, It has been too long! I have been away from blogging for one year. Much has changed in our lives over the past year. We have adjusted to life in a new town, Ethan has made his first Birthday, and is running around the house, getting into everytime that he can possibly reach. I am going to work on this blogger again.

I begin school again in just three short days. Sniff, Sniff, Sniff. I love teaching, but I love my free time. The summer seems to go so fast, and the school year so slow (why is that??). Ethan and I had fun this summer. We played, swam, shopped, visited friends and the zoo. He is really into making animal sounds, so the zoo is right up is alley.

I have encluded a few photos from the summer months. Some are from our family trip to Orlando. We were lucky to be able to bring Ethan back to the place where he was born. We had a wonderful visit with his foster mother and Dr. Scott and Terry.
